Au Pair USA

Have you always dreamed of living and working in America? Perhaps part of an au pair program in one of the most beautiful American cities? With Stage-USA you can! We offer a unique program in which you will live and work as an au pair in some of the most exciting U.S. cities such as New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. And that is just naming a few. Absolutely everything is arranged by Stage-USA; meaning you will arrive safe, prepared, and ready to start your amazing au pair American experience. 

Here are some highlights:

  1. We have au pair families available in most U.S. cities such as: New York, Miami, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Washington DC and Chicago. Smaller city choices are also available upon request. 
  2. All families are thoroughly screened and selected before work begins. Each family is also visited by our partner in the U.S. (both during the pre-screening and your stay) to ensure that you are happy with your host family experience
  3. Return flights are paid in full by Stage-USA (Provided successful completion of the program)
  4. Salary of at least $7,25 per hour + free accommodation and meals
  5. Access to a car (driving license required)
  6. Online orientation and training
  7. Social events to meet other au pairs in the area will be organized by Stage-USA
  8. Voucher of $500 to participate in a course or training program in the U.S.
  9. Travel voucher of $250, Au Pairs will be able to use this voucher for travel anywhere in the US
  10. Optional extension of participation in au pair program after completion of initial first year 

What is the role of an Au Pair in America?

As an au pair, the primary responsibility will be to take care of the children of an American family. You will live in the family home, accompany the children to school, and transport to after-school activities. Other tasks will also include preparation of the children’s meals, playing with them, putting them to bed etc.  Light household chores may also be required as it relates to the childcare such as some cleaning and laundry. During the weekends you will usually have free time; although families may request help sometimes. Going on holidays and fun trips with your family may also be a possibility  The average work week will be up to 45 hours with a flexible schedule likely. The host family will also look forward to you introducing your language and culture to them!  

Minimum Requirements

  • Age between 18-26 years (if you're 17, feel free to apply already)
  • Driving license (car arranged by family)
  • Able to demonstrate experience with children
  • You are available for at least one year
  • Proficient level of English (this is tested by us)
  • Able to pass a background check
  • You have at least completed high school
